Directions to the Physical Disabilities Branch
National Institutes of Health, main campus, Building 10:


-If arriving through the Level P1 Visitors' Parking Garage in Building 10:

  1. Enter the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center through the glass entry doors on the same level as the P1 Parking Garage.
  2. Take the Central Elevators or stairs near the Information Desk to the 1st Floor.
  3. Head towards the Main Lobby of the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center.
  4. Head towards the large glass revolving doors of the Main (North) Entrance.
  5. Turn Right into the last large hallway (North East Wing) before reaching the revolving doors. It is marked "Rehabilitation Medicine Department".
  6. Continue straight through the department entrance door.
  7. The Rehabilitation Medicine Department Reception Desk is immediately within the door. They will be able to direct you to the PDB area of the department.

OR

-If arriving through the North (Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center) Entrance:

  1. Enter the building. You will likely need to check in through Security near the entrance.
  2. Turn Left into the first large hallway (North East Wing). It is marked "Rehabilitation Medicine Department".
  3. Continue straight through the department entrance door.
  4. The Rehabilitation Medicine Department Reception Desk is immediately within the door. They will be able to direct you to the PDB area of the department.

OR

-If arriving through the South (Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center) Entrance:

  1. Enter the building and bear to the right past the Information Desk. You will likely need to check in through Security near the entrance.
  2. Follow the overhead signs toward the Elevators.
  3. Proceed past the Main Elevators (They have large silver metal doors embossed with scenes).
  4. Continue generally straight through the Main Corridor of the Warren Grant Magnuson Clinical Center. It will bear slightly right and take you past a student study area and coffee shop.
  5. Turn to the Left as you reach the Security Desk.
  6. Turn to the Right as you pass the "Old Admissions Desk". It will be marked with "Admissions Has Moved".
  7. Proceed into the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center.
  8. Head towards the Main Lobby of the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center.
  9. Head towards the large glass revolving doors of the Main (North) Entrance.
  10. Turn Right into the last large hallway (North East Wing) before reaching the revolving doors. It is marked "Rehabilitation Medicine Department".
  11. Continue straight through the department entrance door.
  12. The Rehabilitation Medicine Department Reception Desk is immediately within the door. They will be able to direct you to the PDB area of the department.



Overhead layout map of NIH Building 10, First Floor.  Although physically a single building, it is divided into two halves.  The Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center occupies the upper (North) portion of the image.  The Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center occupies the lower (South).  Main Entrances are provided on both the Northern-most and Southern-most sides of the building.  A Main Hallway runs North to South through the center of the Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center and connects to the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center, which is divided into four wings and connected at the center by a Main Lobby.

Please note: You may need one to two forms of picture ID to enter the building depending on current security level.
